I've just returned from a 1200 mile four day tour of France and can honestly say this bike is perfect for touring on. No aches and pains and lower back problems. Ive got Helibars fitted, a Sargent seat and with the HP rear sets I have a great riding position. My previous bikes were an RT and a 1200 VFR and I have been as fresh at the end of each day's ride as when I was on either of them. I always thought I would need a second bike but for the road this bike does it all, just sublime.

Cool, where did you get to in France? Can you stick some pics up of the bike

I've got almost the same set up with a Puig screen, I traded in a K1300 sport which had no cruise control no quick shifter and weighed another 50kg, I put an Oxford tail pack on for overnight stops and I'm sorted. I'm about to replace the tyres and was thinking of the Metzler Roadtec 01 which I know is a sports touring tyre but that's mostly what I do these days, any thoughts ?
