After speaking to a suspension specialist i was asked is my DDC even working.
Im not sure.
Personally im not convinced its working at all.
So my question is can you hear or feel any vibrations on the forks or shock when you make an adjustment?
I was told i should hear a little vibration.
Im adjusting the bike when stationary and no engine is running.
There is no noise what so ever coming from the suspension.
Ive tried following the wires back inside the fairing but i cant see where they go without stripping the bike down.
Can anyone offer some help on this please?

You can't or feel anything when making adjustments.

The easiest way to check whether it's working is to load up front by pushing handlebars down with two hands when the ignition is off. After repeat the same exercise when it's on.
(might want to set compression damping to 0)

You should feel the difference in rebound of forks.

Just tried and yes its hard when off and soft when on.
But there doesnt feel any difference what so ever between -7 and +7 like its not adjusting

won't feel a thing when adjusting, but just go to the 2 extremes on the settings, you "should" feel a difference then when you ride it.

Ive played with the settings quite alot and not really noticed much difference other than thinking i felt a difference between slick and sport mode. Im questioning wether the plus and minus 7 is actually working

The only way that comes to my mind (without going to a bmw dealer), is to dial an extreme value, go to a track in hot weather and push as hard as you can.
in 99% of cases, you will see your suspension "working" in the rear tire wear pattern.

Ok. I just presumed you could really feel an adjustment from plus 7 to minus 7

Yes you can. +7 will feel hardest, -7 will feel softest. You dont need to go to a track or check tyre wear, you can feel it through the bars when riding along a public road. If you cant feel any difference then perhaps the springs are not correct for your weight, or the calibration has not been carried out successfully.

So i went out today for a quick test.
I again set it plus 7 and then tried minus 7 and i cant feel any difference what so ever.
It feels soft whatever i do and the forks bounce back up and over the top and go down slightly again. I cant get it to stop at the top of the bounce.
Below is a not very good video showing the amount of dive and the apparent lack of damping.
Started plus7 then straight after minus 7.
No difference to what i can feel

Place a strap on the fork, maybe higher than usual (30-40mm from bottom) and if you manage to brake hard on public road you should see it going down with -7 setting on compression damping.

Set your suspension in Rain mode to minus 7 all round and then in Track mode to plus 7 all round. Then go for a ride and switch between rain and track mode on the same bit of road. If the DDC is working you'll notice a huge difference in the suspension between the two modes..

it isn't really though once you have an understanding of what everything does (same as everything i guess).

dont think set up is the issue here anyway, more either lack of feel,or the OP is correct and it's not working

What i really need is someone with ddc to set it to minus 7 and then plus 7 and see if there is a significant difference when puming the bike up and down. If there is then i need to book my bike in and get it looked at
