Yes,they had to remove the bung on the right to see if a new frame was required..... you can see an everyso slighy impress where the bung goes... that warranted a new frame....

yes, its true, GAFFER tape is the nuts.... keeps the rest of the bike in one piece....!!

Very nice Alex! Yes the gap does look odd, are you having something made up or is there something already on the market?

Very nice. Make sure you purchase a baffle from Akrapovič as that particular full system is noisy without one. With a baffle fitted you should be fine for UK trackdays. You can purchase them either from BMW or Calsport.

Akrapovič Baffle

It will pass 102 dB static noise testing but drive-by testing will be the issue. The part # for the Akrapovič baffle is V-TUV108-1. Expect to pay around ?45.

I've not had time to go anywhere on it - was taken to the dealer in a van - so as per the other thread - it's lumpy at cold idle right now. Hopefully it will be fine when I'm razzing it and it's up to temp.

Oil tankers have better turning circles than an S1000RR fitted with a 2D Pot sensor!

I have weighed the stock exhaust for reference. Scales may not be perfect...





I make that 12.8kg's and Akrapovic quote 5.7 for theirs. A net 7kg loss.

MCN state the kerb weight at 211.4kg's. So that's now ~204kg. 4kg more to find to get it down to 200...as its easier to make the bike lighter than me! [emoji23]

EDIT - that makes the 2017 exhaust 2kg's heavier than the 2015/2016.
