All the premium stuff were 70-80 quid...

New Bell lid arrived today

Bell have really upped their game on this one... this is a seriously good lid, albeit I've not tested it on the road.. this is a first impression.

The bag it comes in is light nylon with dual pull zips.. extra outside pocket, soft crushed velour (Mk2 Escort Ghia) internals for scratch avoidance.

Externally the helmet is beatifully finished with a nice contrast of Matt and Hi Gloss, an understated Gold pinstripe sets it off.

Visor movement is very positive and incredibly slick... as Alex correctly said it's either open or shut, but very slick and precise...the clearly visible pivot mechanism looks well thought through and constructed, it closes with a smart thump like an Audi car door.

Internally it's a visual feast... well thought out padding, removeable cheek plates, double D (Everyones favourite size [emoji102]) ring fastener with a strong magnetic button that holds the pull bit together avoiding wind flap..

Forehead, Rear and Chin vents operated by unobtrusive projections on the shell, I could find them easily with my gloves on.

Fits superbly...I'm a large...weight feels fine to me as I'm used to Arais and my last Bell Carbon..

The rear spoiler looks as though it's been properly wind tunnel tested hence the aerodynamic design.. and whether upright or prone visibility has been seriously considered..

Comprehensive full colour manual which seems to cover all relevant components and various schematics..

VERY impressed !

Looks so good in the flesh... feast your eyes..

Cheers lads...really impressed with it, it's a huge improvement on the previous model which I really like.

Can't road test properly till spring, I'm going with it on the basis the previous model was great on the road and Boomaz (I think) mate says it's dead stable on track..

Interested to hear your feedback Stu. The Bell's look the part for sure. LH44 was using one at Jerez on his Yamaha (as he's sponsored by them).
