Steering damper

Hi all
I have a 2011 and have just noticed my steering damper seems to be loose.
I was cleaning the bike yesterday when I noticed it. You can put your hand under it and move it up and down a good bit like it's not fixed to anything or its not tighten properly.
Are they all like this ?

yep they all move, just take off the fairing that covers it from below and check the main bolt is tight tho just in case a 5 / 10 min job. Improve it 100% and get an Ohlins SD33 tho especially if you track it

Pretty sure it should have some vertical play.
