First 140 miles on the clock on Sat, 120 of them in the rain.....

You are a braver man than me :eagerness:, I find the stock SCs very twitchy in the wet, but that was after the limiter was removed. Went to a trackday at Oulton on the only day it rained in July (typical) and nearly wiped out in the first corner. The PR3s on my other bike cope much better with those conditions.

I did have a sphincter pulsating moment during a quick change at 7'000 rpm crossing lanes on a wet motorway. Rear gave way just for a sec as it went over the line, it was enough for me to pull the plug on silly buggers for the rest of the ride. How may miles did you get out of the SC's before you changed over?

Yikes. Don't bin it before the good weather comes along, dry roads and a bit of warmth and the bike is truly superb, worth waiting for :).

I'm still on the SCs that the bike came with, 2300 miles done. They are nearly ready to be changed, I will be going with another performance tyre, if not the SCs again.

It feels like an eternity since I put this post up last year. I can happily report that my new bike is sitting at my local Motorrad waiting for me to pick it up at the wknd. Could not work out how to get pics to load from dropbox, so stuck with links. #3859 Ordered Evotech, Puig and Rizoma kit to put on it. Once fitted I will post a few more pics.

Makes me want mine even more.....looks great!

Training wheels were taken off today at the 600 service....now just have to wait for dry weather to find out how she does without the limiter. Anyone in the South West (Bristol) fancy a run out tomorrow?

If you can wait till I get mine delivered from DL in March I am up for it !

Do you know how the frame numbering system works? I see yours is #3859, mine just delivered to the dealer for March 2014 registration is #3262 ...........seems a bit odd...??

it should be in order of production. Who is the dealer?

I witnessed it being taken off the delivery vehicle in its frame from distribution at Barrie Robson's on Friday - it was supposed to be built Week 42 (Oct) according to the production schedules we saw. I didn't want delivery until March, but Oct was the latest build date. It's kinda odd!

Oh yes, 4298 has landed at DL!! Just gotta organise the insurance, pay the bill and wait for it to stop raining! As a point of interest, I took in the Evotech radiator and oil cooler guards I purchased in the hope that DL would fit them. After a chat with a technician and some crawling around the bike, it was decided that the belly pan and fairing inners would have to come off and then the rad/cooler joining bolts removed so I decided to let them do it albeit for £60. I know I could have done it myself but this way if goes wrong...... BTW does anyone know someone locally who fits Venture Shield or similar?

I was on the phone to the BMW Motorrad insurers to get a quote and was going through all the bike details when we got to value, I told him and he said and I kid you not "you do know you are through to the bike insurance, not cars!" :congratulatory:
