Hello, new Gen 3 owner here.

Hello everyone.

After 9 and a half years of wanting a BMW S1000RR I finally got myself one last month and it was worth the wait! I live in Cornwall so we have some lovely roads down this way to enjoy the bike, do we have many other S1000RR riders down here? Mine is a 2017 Gen 3 S1000RR Sport, it's a standard bike at the moment apart from the levers and I'm looking for an exhaust can because it's quite quiet and I'm looking to unlock the noise.

This is my bike, I took the photo down at Saint Mawes in Cornwall a few weeks ago, it seems to enjoy trips to the seaside!

Hi and welcome ! you wont get much more noise with the cat on.

I have heard this, I?ve just bought an Akrapovic stubby can until I investigate decatting and the remap that it requires. I?ll see how loud it is once this can arrives.

welcome.....gen 3 is great, defo need to remove the cat if you want some more noise

I fitted my new Akrapovic end can yesterday and it has unlocked some noise, I haven't ridden the bike yet but it sounds better than standard already. It also looks better too.
