What's the disadvantage in taking out the lining in leathers if using a full undersuit? Really pi$$ing me off when it gets caught up putting it on.

Probably a bit rough around the stitching/seams on the inside, also the armour might flap or move about when you are trying to get the suit on.
Sounds like you have too much material , You could get the lining changed/altered. My lining is removable (Hideout suit) and fits very well, it is held in place with velcro .
