Totally forgot it was on, I haven?t been for years.
You never missed much Wull !..last twice I was there I vowed never to go back, evidence that I don't take myself very seriously.. today I said the same and mean it.. the main hall had around 1/3 of the floor space empty, I was actually too embarrassed to photograph how empty it was, conversely it was busy with punters which was a good sign.
They had spread some of the stalls out to try and fill the gaps, to the point of the stall layout looking ridiculous. Loads of cheap tat traders selling crappy non branded jackets, T Shirts, gloves and just well...rubbish.. Loads of tool traders selling US PRO tools which are low-grade material made in China crap.. very disappointing but it's the same every year. A couple of plus points..
The CCM stand was good, spoke to the owners grandson who was telling me about the company.. I just fell in love with the 50 year anniversary LTD Edition (71 count) Clewes Special..what a cool looking machine..28 grand though, the only prod bike in the world with a full Titanium Frame, Billet everything, quality brake and suspension componants..my mates old man is interested in the one with the Alu tank, he's after a neat machine to trailer on the back of his motorhome, at 11 grand it's a reasonable price point, good looker and functional.
Best bit is always the classic section... I'll link the images to my google account... heres that CCM.. lot of bread but we'll neat.
Loved the look of the Wee Villiers DOT trials bike, hard to belive thats a year younger than me lol..
