Met up with RickS1K for our annual 'coffee' at the show...now that Covid allowed it to happen.

I don't think its a huge suprise but it was definitely a smaller affair than last time and it was smaller last time than previous years...I really think the clothing and apparel resellers are missing a trick by not turning up. I may have missed out by not going on the Saturday...but I suspect the lack of range/choice was endemic of a show in decline, covid or not. I must try out the NEC show and see if its better served. Hope the industry is not giving up on shows, because they are good for getting companies in front of punters.

Helmet City were one of the few well appointed stands. They were delighted to rinse my Credit Card again.

Last year I bought an X-Lite Carbon 803 RS from them online (no shows to attend), the wife duely dropped it, after I used it once. So back to the show for a replacement, and another good, show only, deal.

Got up close to the Gas Monkey Hickman TT bike by FHO.

Notes:
Coolant connector looks to be Staubli quick release, wondering if its a dry break?
Couldn't see the bar mounted rear brake make...but Hickman likes a scooter brake.
Full aero front mudguard.
Different quickshifter, lots of Gen4's started racing with HM QS's but both race bike seen today had these from https://www.kasensors.com/en/products/gear-shift

In contrast to Hickman/FHO/Gas Monkey.
The Sinetiq TAS BSB bike.
Runs K-Tech not Ohlins for '22. Gotta love the full SBK billet linkage
Uses a thumb brake not a scooter brake.
Red sensor near brake calipers that appears to be a rotor temp sensor.

Could mount one and get tyre temp the same way...needs an ECU that's configurable like the BSB and MRCK Motec.

Ah, thought maybe it would be live(d) into a warning light. Would be ideal with a fluid sensor for all the riders that say fluid boils and gives way ....
