Gen 4 Track Advice

Nice one, thanks. That's helpful.
So first thing you'd advise is get a suspension review now (with bike having standard kit), then maybe look at front pot later?

Yes. You?d be surprised at the difference just setting the preload correctly can make. Then find a suitable base setting and go from there.

13st 6.
I haven't changed anything on the bike in terms of suspension or geometry

Mine was improved with lighter front springs, a bigger air gap and raising the front (flush) / dropping the rear via the eccentric spacer...........I got MCT to replace the fork springs & oil. That made the bike steer & "feel" nicer especially at the front. Not much that be done to the rear shock according to MCT and the OE spring should be ok at your weight.

Great. any specific suspension guys you would recommend? I was thinking of getting it done before season starts, not at track. I'm a bit suspicious of getting it done at a track day, thinking there's no long term commitment/customer relationship. May not be correct assumption at all, just a view I've got

I would politely suggest that?s the wrong assumption to make. By getting it done trackside you can start the day with a base setting and then work with the technician between sessions to improve it. You will also be given a data sheet recording any changes so you can refer back to it at a later date. If you need to make physical changes (oil, valving, springs, air gap etc) to the suspension then visit a specialist shop like MCT (there are plenty of others out there). Just remember that there is no correct setting and that suspension setup is an evolving process that continuously changes the faster you go.

Nice one mate, appreciate that. I'm based down near Brighton so MCT a bit too far. Do you know of any down this neck of the woods? Also, any specific company you've worked with trackside that you'd recommend?

Race Lab and 100% Suspension are both fine for the average rider and can normally be found supporting MSV, FE and NL trackdays. They are also reasonably priced.

HM Racing are based in Edenbridge and I would highly recommend them. Other shops include Steve Jordan Motorcycles in Surrey and Race Pace Suspension in Tunbridge Wells.

Perry set mine up (When at HM) I was happy with the results and recommendations from him.
