Hi All,

Hello as a new addition to the uk forum.
I'm an ex-original 2010 owner (motorsport colours, winky eye ... original light camshaft before they beefed it up due to failures), recently moved to the UK from Oz ... where I unfortunately sold my s1000rr. Now keeping in touch with the s1000rr community in the uk to see what's changed ... and hopefully get back on board the s1k (once the kids grow up!)

I also had the early one with the light crankshaft (which failed lol )
Steady improvement through the years culminating into a far superior bike to date.

Yeah ... I was lucky and it didn't fail. Kept an eye on the oil changes with a magnetic sump plug to get any early warnings of internal wear and tear ... They never did any recalls in Oz at the time (though they seemed to be replacing them free of charge in the US).
