Like most of you riding track, I've damaged my OEM switchgear and had to replace it a few times. Costly and annoying to say the least. I've been looking at various aftermarket aluminium switchgears that are plug&play, but the cost of them has kept me from buying one yet.

Has anyone here done their own / bought a universal 5 or 7 button swithcgear and where did you get the bits?

I see they are all over ebay for cheap, and the only thing missing would be the tiny plug so I won't have to cut or splice the original wiring.

I've checked the BMW spare parts to see if I could fin that plug, but no luck.

Any input on this from people that have done similar, or should I just go buy the Alpha / Jetprime switches?

theres nothing to stop you doing it,just depends how confident you are in splicing, and knowing which wire connects where.

True.. And I'm not that keen on splicing wires just yet. So that's why I was hoping someone knew where to get that plug, so I can make my own that plugs right into the original wire harness :)

How about using a small cable connector? Would be easier than splicing and mean that you wouldn't face the same problem whenever you replace the gear with a different brand?

Yes, that's what I was trying.. Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my first post - but would be nice to find a place to buy the plug that fits directly into the OEM wire harness :)

I was thinking of the laziest way
