Have a 2016 track bike that leaks from the oil pan area. It has been a tiny leak in the past, so I didn't bother to do anything about it until now.

The leak has become worse. And now that the bike is parked over winter with fairings removed, I see a small "wet" area below the bike on the concrete floor from little drops of oil. I've seen others have exact same issue, and wondered if this is a common issue on the RR's from 2016?

Has anyone had luck getting BMW to replace the oil pan as a courtesy warranty repair?

It's not a huge job to fix it myself, and a new oil pan doesn't cost much, but obviously prefer BMW to fix it if it is a common and know issue with the 2016 models. Any links to people posting about similar issues, or people that have had BMW replace oil pan out of courtesy would be highly appreciated so I can argue why they should replace mine as well.

Thanks

Oil pans were an issue in previous generations but not the Gen3 (changed design).

You sure of this? Seems like other people have had similar issues w. Gen3. I know the earlier models corroded, but this seems to be due to faulty sealing of the oil pan, not corrosion.
