[SSR Suspension]

I will be back working as a Crew Chief with a SS1000 Team this season in BSB (i've been a motorsport engineer since 2007), im just getting my head around the MCRK BWM Motoradd software. Just had a pair of forks in from one of the new 2020 team bikes today, it looks like the stock internals (non DDC) are a sealed pressurised damper by Marzocchi, which means they can not be serviced!

But I was fitting an Ohlins kit, so I have not bothered to pay much attention to the stock internals. Marzocchi went on overkill with bloody grease though and a strong loctite on the base valve retaining bolt!

We also run 130mm stroke vs the stock 120mm stroke, as do the superbikes.

The OEM's are supposed to have adjustable shim stacks. Pretty sure that was in the long launch video with the product manager, but to be honest no one has seen any evidence or had them altered.

That is true for the DDC, I have seen the press release pictures (the old ddc did not use a traditional valve/shim design and could not be revalved). But not for the non-DDC which is what I removed from the forks there is no way the cartridge can be disassembled from first impressions. The stock cartridges are sealed for which a normal fork cartridge that was not pressurised would not be, I am going to assume they use they use nitrogen/piston to pressurise the system and not a spring pressurised system.

Ahh eyes were not awake, non-DDC...

Is this an M1000RR? I assume not. I will be interested to see if the £34k bike has exactly the same internals as the base S1000RR...

The M1000RR comes with the same 45mm Marzocchi fork, no better suspension here.
