Has anyone else found BMW fairing tabs to be made from low grade plasticine? Specifically the tabs which hold the clip nuts.
It?s done wonders for my plastics repair skills. I?ve found Lego to be the best fix would you believe.
But for a 3yr old bike this is not good. Dealers shrug there shoulders and say it?s not covered on warranty.

Yes, I've had to buy fairings off ebay for this fault. I think the wrench monkey's over torque them which doesn't help.
 
Fairing Tabs

The OEM fairing tabs on the Gen 3 are particularly delicate and will break if the bolts are overtightened. However, on the Gen 4 I?ve found that the tabs are a bit more robust when it comes to removing and fitting them. That said my fairings are all now in storage.
 
Yep, easily damaged or broken. Especially when cold. Not as bad as late Honda Fireblade fairings though. They?re special...
