Good luck with that. I can’t see anyone going anywhere until Easter at the earliest. If anything they are going to lockdown harder for longer.
And you’ll need a covid test to fly. We were supposed to go to the Canaries in December and I am still waiting for the test results back, so don’t think it’s straight forward to get one sorted within 72 hours of departure (Nhs test is not accepted).
As an aside I'm not sure how they legally can prevent people from coming home...

to get on a flight you need a certificate showing a negative test along with your flight details and passport number.
