I need to replace my helmet soon. I used to have two helmets, inc. a X-Spirit (for track) but for last couple of years I've made do with just a Shoei GT Air (I like having the built in sun visor, can't feel the weight difference, different field of vision on track doesn't bother me) - which for the purposes of this thread, has a standard Double D ring fastener.
My default was to just get the GT Air2 but it appears that this only comes with the ratchet style fastener and there appears to be some doubt as to whether this is permissible on tracks, which if true is a deal breaker. Can anyone confirm if you must have D-rings if you want to go on track, is this a UK thing, or Europe too?
