    Battery

Hi guys, it seems that my s1k battery is on the way out, nearly left me stranded twice. Its an 015, so over 5years old. The bike does not include the alarm, should i keep the same size or go a bit bigger? Any recommendations please?

If it’s a road bike & weight not an issue go for AGM lead acid.

Yes, very good point. Lead acid batteries die quickly if left discharged (eg bike laid up over winter). A trickle charger will pay for itself in battery life.

    Re: Battery

Thanks guys, just ordered one, I got a trickle charger too. The battery is not holding the charge very well, and since i ride with both lights on it gets charged less when on. My zx6r one is larger in size, cant understand how bmw fitted such a small battery.

    Re: Battery

Hi, my ytz7s OEM S1000RR 2015 died yesterday.

Any problem if I put ytz10s?

I have intermitent issues of blank angles with the original ytz7s.

    Thanks

The YTZ10S is standard on my 2013 Gen 2. I replaced mine with a Yuasa

@katie on here has recently fitted higher capacity YT12S on her Gen 3 & it fits.

That's no problem putting ytz10s in a bike that comes oem ytz7s, correct?
