Would also love a little VFR400 (NC30). Mainly for the looks, something about those 80s twin round headlights.

Yeah, I've been looking at some old classic 80's and 90's Jap bikes, prices are not too bad.

I'd imagine in the next few years they are going to start increasing in value. If you want a really good deal and super clean bike, importing one from Japan is a good option. I spend a fair bit of time out there for work and there is a tuning shop/dealer literally next to my company offices. Only deals with 80s and 90s bikes. It's an Aladdin's cave and i have no idea how i haven't bought something from there yet haha.

I wish they did trackday groups which specialised in =<500cc I'd be there on a VFR400 too :)

That would be amazing Alex. I actually think it would be extremely popular. There is also this company that organises classic TDs https://www.classicbiketrackdays.com/events/

Honda cx 500 that I completely rebuilt myself including the paint, its so slow I think an electric scooter would beat it in a drag race.I am toying with the idea of buying a track bike as well after Mallory yesterday

I've got a 1980 DT175MX, 91 KDX250SR, 88 FJ1200 and a 98 R1, no more room in the garage. Haven't used the R1 for years, but the others get some use, either pillion for the Mrs, bit of green lane / winter hack or runs with the VMCC.
the RR gets most use - done 7000 miles this year so far

As well as the 2016 gen 3, I've got a tlr 250 ( mid 80s I think, had it since I was 14, needs a fair bit of restoration work, but totally original and complete), a 2000 vtr1000 sp1 & my dad's 1980 Moto guzzi T3.

In addition to the 2 wheelers there is also a vr6 corrado and a R32 skyline gtr in the shed.

And a 18 fc450 for messing about.

Got my Yamaha FZ1 as my second bike. Use it for touring. Got almost 40,000 on it now!

I know a couple of lads on the island that's won multiple completions. One of my friends has won a rally prepped mk2 escort, an Audi A3, a tool chest full of tools and a DeWalt tool bundle, all in separate completions!
Must be better odds than the lottery!

Kenny, The same jammy wee sod (my wee cousin) won a grand last week in one of the comps, i cant believe how much he has won, saying that i bet he dosent tell the Angela how much he spends on them haha
