Can you guys look over these and give me your opinion.

These Michelin Power Cup 2s have given me great performance over 5 track days, the rear is pretty shot. No incidents with them..and ran 36F 31R at Croft and varied 36F 30-33R at Knockhill and Cadwell, front is fine.

It's out of round and has uneven wear on the Right hand side. I'm new to this so I'm not sure what I'm asking...also under hard acceleration coming out of a left hander it was starting to squirm a bit, in particular the last chicane on the back straight, but it's bumpy there so I'm not sure if it's the rubber or not.

The right hand side from Crown to start of the shoulder is more worn than right at the edge of the shoulder as highlighted. I know there's a lot of Right handers, is this the likely culprit..

Croft is a lot of right turns and the surface is very abrasive so I think that?s the issue.

In my opinion this is absolutely normal. I would say after five trackdays the tyres have done an awesome job of providing grip at the level you required. Nothing to be concerned about at all. I would imagine that it would be pertinent to change them now for a fresh set.

Stew, first 2 photos are corrupt I can't really see them.

Last 3 - are not really normal, you have a tear developing there. Can't really say whether its cold or hot but it's not right for sure.

Good tire wear looks like this

Cheers all, they were pretty faultless I've got to say...BBB I'll upload those images again.

Couple of other guys sharing our garage had Michelins with similar wear characteristics to mine, so in a sense that eased my mind.

Thats a fast track that and on the right a lot of the time, that Barcroft section is superb, I was really getting to grips with it by the end of the second day, I was on the juice most of the way round, and trying to treat it as one big Right hander, so I was guessing that was the reason.

4. I set my warmers to 85C.. I missed that bit.

5. I always check pressures when they are hot.

7. What does that mean.

8. Should the warmers be switched on even during lunch, or just wrapped

From some of those pics you've had the best out of that rear. Regardless of hot or cold tear the profile has gone. I don't know what pace you're running but 5 days out of one, I'd be happy. Abrasiveness of track does make a difference, track surface and track temp will play a huge part in wear. Sometimes i will be lucky to get a day out of a rear. Where on the other hand i got 3 days at mugello recently and still good to leave on to start my next event.

Yea, that tyre is gubbed. I've only done 6 days in total, so the whole thing is a learning curve just now. I'm inters, and from what I can figure out I'm at least mid pack..but it's hard to gauge as there's so many variables and rider standards vary a fair bit.

Stuart - The pressures you quote at the beginning of this thread for the rear are higher than the recommended guide (the updated one that you just posted) - that's what I meant in my earlier post....

Ah, cool.. it just states the minimum but no maximum..take it then that you need to figure out whats happening based on tyre wear throught sessions then ?. So it may have been better to drop the pressure a bit, right get it now..or is that right lol

The front looks in great nick, do I change the front too or if it has plenty meat and retained it's shape is it safe to just throw a rear on a la my road bike.. I always get two rears out of one front..
