Guys got 550 on the clock and can't get my bike in for first service until 25th of this month. Is it a no no warranty wise to go over the 600 miles for run in.

The owners handbook states 300-750 miles are acceptable for the run in mileage

Hi, you'll have to ask the dealer as things may have changed following lifting of lock down. I was extended to not over 1200 due to dealership closed, so they might still allow this due to backlog.

Pages 125 and 248 of Gen 4 handbooks states 1200 km or 750 miles is the maximum mileage for the run in service

I had my bike delivered two weeks into lockdown and probably the only bike in the UK to move from any dealers during the COVID lockdown and the first question I asked my dealer was about the first service and due to what?s going on and my dealer said bmw had extended run in service to 1200 miles I don?t know if the are still continuing this as the dealers are now open but with huge backlogs so it?s worth calling and asking them.

Just collected mine today.
our of interest what is the cost of the first service?
