To change the battery do I need to turn the ignition on in order for the alarm not to go off ? Is there a way to disarm the alarm ? Thanks for any advise.

Do you have the fob for it? Should be able to disarm and replace.

Ive got the fob Alex yes, but if you turn it off with button 2 it arms itself again after 10 secs !!

There's a fob?? Mine has the DWA thing (thought that was standard) and you turn that off via the dash

I think it changed with the Gen3. TBH I'd just unplug the alarm, change the battery and plug it back in then see what happens.

Yeah Gen 1 & 2 had the fobs then changed Gen 3 onwards. Isnt it goin to trigger the alarm unplugging it ??

I personally would have the ignition off when doing anything with the battery.
