As a community we need to think long and hard about the noise we generate i.e. exhausts and whether we really need loud ones.

Both of these articles refer specifically to loud bikes and both councils are actively looking at banning them from particular areas.

I have (and hope to continue to) ridden both areas named here. I'd be most dis-chuffed if I was banned from ridding there.

You can guaranty other councils / areas are looking to do the same.

Its a bit shitty when bikes are banned in OEM spec. Blaming the owners for the legislation which allowed them to be created.

I get it, but feel its unfair to single out bikes.

The yorkshire dales article just highlights nimbyism at its worst. People choose to live in areas that other people choose to visit, absolutely ridiculous to then ban people from travelling there because the locals dont like the noise the visitors make. I bet local businesses will be in dismay if it ever happens (which I doubt).

Coincidentally I was riding through the dales last Sunday late afternoon and spotted an old bloke (probably late 60s early 70s) standing in his front garden shaking his head and waving his finger at me as I went past. In wasn?t speeding so I guess it must have been the noise?

It was your Predator helmet I bet, it was likely Carl Weathers old man seeking revenge for killing his son !
