Service and brake fluid?

Had almost no chance to get out on the bike last year so its overdue a service. Last serviced August 18 @ 3700 miles had oil change and brake fluid. Now done 4100 miles. Would you do brake fluld aswell or no need?

Replace every 2 years.

BMW service replaces every 2 years regardless of mileage so would be worth doing.

I have always been told brake fluid should be changed at minimum every 2 years so you are not far off.

Some service items are 'time' dependent, others 'mileage' dependant, some both. Valve clearances are mileage dependant for example. Because oil and brake fluid absorb water from the atmosphere, plus wear out early through regular use, that's why they are both mileage and time dependent.

Remember your engine and braking system is open to the elements through breathers....
