Hi people, I'm after some advice please? Can the standard OEM rear sets & gear shift linkage be configured for "race shift" pattern or to do this I'd have to get some aftermarket rear sets?

Cheers

Yeah unionjack is right rear set only bmw changed
mine to race shift and it cost me £200 for a poxy
bmw hp lever

Cheers guys, I imagine going for BMW hp kit would be best to avoid any shift assist issues?

Would not like to say for sure by going for the bmw hp lever
but mine has not faulted at all will post a picture tomorrow of
mine for reference if you like

Cheers

A German instructor at a Ring event i attenedd in the summer had a 2011 which he had modified to race shift. He definitely had the standard rear sets.

I don't know how he did it but you maybe lucky on one of the forums. I'll ask a couple of the guys who where on the course. If I find out, I'll post.

Cheers Gordo, is that available from any BMW dealer? Looking at the price would you had gone for after market rear sets now or stuck with this mod?
Cheers

Yes mate I would of gone with rear sets as
for value reason considering £200 for a lever but I never
got a quoted price till I looked on the invoice to sign on the
dotted line for the bike but again I have ridden race shift for
five years and rode other bike on road shift but could not get
to grips so I'm happy with it just the price for a Gilles hp part

I'm sure all bmw dealers with be able to source the part

Cheers
