Yes and by pulling the plug mentioned you'll disconnect it. With the bridge pin you can have it on or off.

How do you open that flat cover exactly? Do I have to push a pin or smth to release the cover?
 
As above, just change the battery straight away and see if it fixes it otherwise you spend days faffing around for no reason.
 
Anyone wants to have a good laugh ??

After spending 300 on replacement ignition switch and waiting 1.5 weeks more to have a motorbike delivered, on arrival the bike doesn't start !!

New ignition switch stopped working while in transit on the van, the dashboard tried to light up once, but immediately went off again.

Luckily I did check that before releasing the delivery guy
