Just back from the show and sat on almost everything there.
Best bike in view had to be
Spend some money on tyres and suspension and it would be great in the twisties.
The girl on the BMW stand knew her stuff and took me though the bikes menus and specs.
To be honest I wasn?t blown away with the new bikes styling in the flesh as it looks too much like a Ducati or Honda in the red. It may get better as I get used to it, but I?m a big fan of the current bike.
I like the indicators doubling as brake lights and the pillion seat is almost non existent!
I?m sure the bars are part of the top yoke! What are they thinking, and BMW own brand callipers instead of brembos ? They might be just as good but it all suggests cost cutting.
Ergonomics felt similar to the gen 3 but the bars are flatter and wider which makes it feel roomier.
All in all I?ll wait until the launch settles down for test ride.
To be honest the offerings from the other manufacturers are all very similar, with both Kawasaki and Yamaha looking like transformers. The Nixen looks huge when your sat on it, and must make filtering interesting.
The best bike after the Monkey bike I thought was the Z900. Where was the cat in the Yoshi exhaust?
New and old Katanas. I must say being an old git I do like revival of this bike but it?s styling has been too modernised for me.
I?m off the put down a deposit on a monkey bike! A red one as they are faster!
