Cleaning rear shock

Who manages to get their rear lower linkage shock clean, looks really hard to be get to? Tips? Products?

Lie underneath and use rag and WD40 or remove rear wheel and get in from behind.

just take the rear shock out and clean it,get to every coil that way.....

Rear Shock

If you want to clean the rear shock and linkage properly, then just remove it from the bike. It makes it a lot easier.

But you need a way to get the weight off it first, needs a chassis lifter...

Bit ott for a clean, I'd use a wheel cleaning brush set of various sizes whilst its in place...

What do you use to lift the rear to unload the spring first?

Rear Shock

I have a set of Harris footrest stands which I use if removing the swingarm etc. They only work if you have rearsets with fixed foot pegs fitted, and not the standard OEM ones which spring upwards.
