Hi just run my bike in and found this nail in back tyre!!! . It seem like its gone in at an angle. Tyre repair centres or get bike shop to sort it ?? Repair or replace?

I know of lots of people who have had tyres professionally plugged and no issues on the road over the remaining life of the tyre.

I even know of a fast rider at a track day last year at snetterton who plugged his tyre and went on the run the afternoon sessions with no issues.

If the tyre shop is happy to plug it then it should be fine. Personal preference is to replace with new on motorbikes.

I had Ducati Diavel with 240 rear. It was a vacuum cleaner.

If I had anything like that, I would just plug it with a mushroom on the spot and happily ride another 5k km on it.

I had one like that on my GSXR and had it professionally plugged. It was absolutely fine for road use. As Phil says check pressure regularly (you should in any case).

Do make sure that it is professionally plugged from the inside of the tyre.

The emergency plugs done from the outside are a get you home only solution.
