Anyone changed theirs and moved over to the tapered ones? Seems difficult to buy anything but on fleabay but seems like you have to chisel off the old roller part from the bottom of the steering stem to make the changeover? Any how to guides that I can look at to see what?s involved would be useful! Thanks!
 
should be able to do it with a bearing puller,failing that carefully cut it with a dremmel.just depends how well they have pressed on
 
not on the bmw no,but on quite few other bikes i have,some have needed a puller,some wouldn't budge so had to cut them.

try heat at first on the old housing to see if it will break it's seal,gently knock it with a little toffee type hammer,but if all else fails,dremmel and a cutting wheel,just be careful+patient.
