Hi Jonny,
From the video mine sounds the same. Just sounds like normal tappet noise on tick over to me.
I suspect it?s there hot and cold but your sensitive to it now.
There have been threads about similar noises.

Thanks for reply preynol , maybe its there when cold also , its not that loud the ticking compared to others I ve heard, how long has your ticking been there ? Never had any issues ?

Mines 2yrs old 12k and it?s always sounded like it. Never had any issues and sounds just like others I?ve heard.
To be honest every bike I?ve had including jap bikes always have a bit of tappet noise.
If your really worried take it to a dealer.
As to the camshafts I?m sure some one will correct me but I think that was gen 1 and a recall.

Does yours tick also ?

yes , new bikes both occasions but try not to worry to much mine had about 2k miles on so i think they go pretty much straight away
Yes all fails were from new bikes indeed , mine has 25000, what can make them fail any ideia ? I had the top cover removed at a dealer recently to check cilindre pressure all was good.

i believe the 2012 had chocolate cam shafts and the 2016 was caused by 2 different materials used on the cam lobe , one grinded the other away a small ammount so ive herd,
Took it to 2 dealers both said its normal noise most probably vibration from front exaust buterfly. How could i wire it open and see if noise stops ?

My 2015 was quite noisy on tick over,
But I wouldn?t worry about it, I did 15k in 3 years and had no problems at all

My 17 ticks at and around 4k.

My local dealer said it wasn't anything to worry about. Each engine has it's own ticks/taps/rattles etc. They said i'd know if it were Cam related!

Sounds normal to me, mines the same. Earplugs help massively with unwanted mechanical noise, up to a point.

Tks all for the replys , i guess i am just paranoid reading to much some sinistre stories about engone noises gone south. Well happy new year everyone , cheers from brasil

It's fine mate, Mine sounded exactly the same. I took it to 3 dealers cause I was probably more paranoid than you haha. Honestly nothing to worry about, Best cure is sticking some headphones in and blasting some tunes :)

Enjoy

My jap bike is so silent compared to, it drives me nuts. I had a full on before thats why I could listen to it prob. Well thanks again for the reply m8.
Cheers
