    You just screw the top adjuster into the spring to get the rate you need, ingenious design:

    Ok by locking off part of the coil you change the ability of the spring to resist... interesting, but there must be downsides surely.

    yep the downside is k tech and ohlins etc etc cant charge you 80 for another set of springs,,

    No downsides as far as I'm aware. People are winning championships on them.
