Currently have 5.1 brake fluid in my track bike but going to change to rbf 660. Now i know you shouldnt mix the 2 fluids but is it ok to use the rbf to "push" out the old fluid? What i dont want is a load of gunk in the system. Will bleeding it through like this get all the old stuff out, or is it better to drain all old stuff out first and start again?

Brake Fluid

I would personally completely drain the system of old brake fluid. You can do this quickly and easily using a vacuum kit. It?s never wise to mix brake fluid; especially different types.

Brake Fluid

For best results I would recommend using a Mityvac.
