Brembo master cylinder
Are they worth it?
Its for my Gixxer 750 track bike. I current have Pazzo shorties and whilst the clutch is ok I want a longer brake lever. This will be about £80. Have seen Brembo m/c with lever for about £240 from uk or £212 from Italy. Will it make much difference over the stock one? Are they hard to fit? Assuming the 18 ratio is the best way to go.

Re: Brembo master cylinder
Have exactly the same question, I'm looking at Brembo RCS 19 master cylinder with lever (lever is ugly btw) and thinking do I need it ?
Some people say it improves trail braking ?

Re: Brembo master cylinder
there a big improvement over stock especially if you have an 06 to L0 as there was a recall on these as they had seals fail. my missis runs the RCS as there some good deals on these. we found the oe m/c's on our 06,07 and L0 had brake fade within a few sessions. changed pads to sbs and calipers to AP's. the R6 calipers are also better than the earlier gixer radial calipers.

Re: Brembo master cylinder
You'll need to work out the lever to piston ration to know which size to get. Think there's a post about with what that entails

Brembo Master Cylinder
I found absolutely no reason to change the BMW OEM master cylinder as for me it has worked perfectly fine on track when used with good quality brake fluid and when the system is properly bled.

Suzuki
Having owned a Suzuki GSX-R in the past I would certainly replace the master cylinder as the OEM one is dreadful. To be honest the entire braking system was awful...

Re: Suzuki
I have a sv650 track bike that had a brand new gsxr radial master and I found it poor and unreliable
Swapped to a rcs19 and it's just so much better.
