So its Tar (or rubber off the tyres) anyway a black mess. The stick on heatsheild looks thin so don't want to rub too hard. Has anyone any experience of cleaning the inside of the belly pan? What products??? Citrol 266 looks good but can't get in the UK. Any ideas?

I never had this issue with my hp4 of nearly 6 years but my best guess would be heat gun to gently loosen/soften the crud and then remove carefully with a plastic tool?

If you use anything abrasive or soak in water the heatshield will separate from the carbon.

Ive cleaned mine by removing it completely, screwing it onto my garden fence very carefully and them blasting it with a hot jet washer, takes Everything off.
