Hi forum,

I recently purchased the complete fairing kit for a 2013. I'm stuck, however, with the seat section. I was wondering if someone ever installed these.

Currently, I don't see how the seat section is tied/locked into the frame/subframe. The only thing keeping it in place is the under tray, but I HIGHLY doubt that is the only place that will keep it tied/secured.

Thank you!

I agree its not clear on the site.

The 2015 uses this;

You should call CRC/Reactive to see what they say...

Yeah, but mine doesn't come with that part. I find it very very weird.

This is mine:

It doesn't have that part. I wonder what CRC thought when they designed this. I'm gonna call them Monday ... :(

Race Fairing Seat Unit

You normally need to buy an additional seat bench/support to mount a full length race seat unit. The only ones that you don?t need one for are the short tail units where you retain the OEM seat.

If that?s the case, then CRC did a very bad job at communicating it. I specifically asked if I needed anything else and the answer was ?no?.

Got an update from CRC ... Don't know what to say. Don't know how I missed it. There are two sections for holes in the front of the fairing ...

So the seat unit as it comes, bolts directly to the sub-frame? I did wonder that but don't have CRC's to look at.
