Pretty fast road use. No track day thus far, although it's in my goals and aims [emoji106]

OEM will do just fine.

If you have spare cash can try Ferodo or EBC HH.

If you like hard initial bite (which I do) - EBC HH.

So..... my Brembo SCs are starting to look like they need replaced after about 3,000 miles - mostly fast road and a couple of track days. The OEM pads did over 12,000 with about 10 track days and lots of fast road, so trying to decide myself between more SC and going back to OEM. Trying to think what more I get from the SCs to make up for the difference in longevity....

I feel my other bike (S1000R, 1000 miles), on OEM, has more initial bite when I apply the brakes, and continues this all the way to stop. It feels like a more aggressive stopping experience. It's not necessarily that I'm unhappy with the SCs, but they don't seem to be as aggressive at stopping the bike. I'm even thinking of comparing their stopping distance 60-0 at the weekend. I do remember that when the SCs were new that they immediately felt more aggressive on track (they're supposed to handle temps/speed better), but now.... meh... Maybe I've just got used to them doing what they do? My brake fluid is fine, anything else that might have affected stopping performance?

(not sure 'aggressive' is the right word to describe expectations of slowing down, just trying to describe the difference I feel between the two bikes)

Oh, and are the Brembo SA same as OEM?

Cheers

Rick

If you want to try some thing with a bit more initial bite than OEM (let alone SC) then I would try the SBS HS870's...although I opted for the SC's (which are soft and kind to discs) the HS870's do seem to have that initial bite.
The PFC95's have good stopping power but have a progressive feel, you do have to get some temp in them and some material on the disc (better used with new discs IMO).

Yup Ive my Goldfrens to fit when I pick up my discs ... which are now ready to pick up from Argos..woop woop..

Never used Argos brake dics let me know how you get on with them lol

I'm currently using the Godlfren GP5 compound but I prefer the cheaper S33 they seem to brake that bit early and harder than gp5'S. May me it's because I'm too slow lol

I'm very happy with my ZCOO EXC Endurance. Hard bite for road and track with long duration.
