I'd only seen a few episodes of his travelling food tv show, and he seemed like a real gent and loved what he did. Great presenter, engaging and enjoyable to watch.
Such a shame. RIP.
 
Couldn't agree more Cobo. I've reordered Kitchen Confidential from Amazon, I read it a few years ago and fancy reading it again.. it's hilarious..the drug intake and debauchery that went on in the kitchens he worked in is legendary..cracking read..

Is that the book he wrote that kind of started everything for him? I saw a few quotes about a book but don?t know if he?s written 1 or many...
Is that?s the one, sounds like it would be worth a read for sure (apparently written with other chefs as the intended audience)
 
Yup...it's a cracking read full of scandal...copious ingestion of hard drugs...secrets of the trade...and generally hilarious stories. He does tell a good tale and is one of those guys thats lived a life... buy it..
