Has anybody got any advice for tyre pressures for a 1/4 mile drag race?

I've got metzelar k3's on the bike at the moment, and looks like I'm going to have a bash at a 1/4 miles race tonight, for charity. Tyres will be cold, as a lot of hanging around between goes at it, and I don't have warmers.
Local car club organise it every year, and all profit raised go to charity, this is the first time they've allowed bikes to enter.

Front needs to be fully inflated for minimum resistance.
Rear needs to be low for maximum footprint off the line.
I'd probably start with 36Front 26Rear.

These pressure worked spot on.

What a belter of a night we had, about 18 bikes I think, and a load of cars as well.

Entering a drag race wouldn't normally be my cup of tea, but as this is organised with all proceeds going to charity I gave it a bash.
Did 3 runs, then sat out of the last couple to watch. Managed a 10.4 sec at 157.8 mph. Not as quick as I'd hoped for, mainly down to reaction times being very poor compared to the other lads (burnt out after just arriving home from making the most of a weeks all inclusive holiday a few hours earlier) and hit the Rev limiter before changing up as well I think.
Pretty sure with a fresh head I could of managed closer to 10 seconds.
Gutted that a car got the best time of the night though.

Local lad with Scrooby that's running over 1100 plus bhp at the wheels got less than 10 seconds, and 170mph. And that was with it cutting out on low fuel pressure!

Another lad on a gen 3 S1k managed a 10.2 second run, on his 4th or 5th run, which was the fastest bike of the night.

Great effort, do you know your 60ft times? Pretty sure that time is in the ball park of what is 'expected'.

Losing to a car thats been heavily modded, costs triple or more etc isnt the worst. They have 4wd and don't have to keep the front wheel down.

No 60ft times, I think it due to a few issues with the Christmas tree at the start of the night.

I'm happy with the speed trap speed, but could of done better on the times.

As the night was a success, and everyone was well behaved, hopfully the airport will allow bikes in the next event, to try and get a more respectable time. Think I was 2nd fastest bike of the night, and the other gen 3 was fastest. Although there was a k1300 that had the potential to wipe the floor with the 1000's. Think he had 210 ponies at the wheel!

The Subaru has cost in excess of a 100k to build! He has a Facebook page called The Hebridean

Hey Kenny, Seen some FB live videos the club were posting last night, looked like a good turn out, Think I seen you setting off in one of the videos, Did you use the launch control of just launch it yourself??

Linkys Scooby looks quick off the line, Couple of nice old fords there that looked quick as well

I was the one with the antique leathers on the motorsports colours. Really must buy a new 1 peice before knockhill next month.

Ye, was using launch control, just looking at videos, and it makes the bike look slow due to the lack of drama! Need to try turning the wheely control off at the next one.

There was a couple of nice mainland escorts there, but linkys Scrooby is somthing else. He was saying he was running 50% ethanol with v-power, but it was cutting out on fuel presure he thought. But still running less than 10 seconds and coasted over the line at 170!
