might buy s/hand seat cowl to fit my 2012 model, what info do i need to get my key to fit new lock & will previous models fit ? cheers

I bought a secondhand seat cowl For my 2012 model with the lock fitted and then changed the lock internals so it worked with my key. It's easy to do and how can be found on the Internet. If your local BMW dealers any good hopefully they would update the lock internals for nothing

All seat cowls fit all models,as for lock,use the one from your seat,it's very easy to do.
