Hi guys,

Following on from my 'New Member' thread started back in March, i finally found the bike i was looking for!

Was originally after a Gen 2 due to budget, but after much thought, it was a no brainer to spend the extra couple of 'k' and get a Gen 3 as it has many more bells and whistles and improvements over the previous.

Managed to find this 2015 at my local dealer, complete with HP wheels. The dealer gave me a very good deal - full service, new MOT (its 1st one), new set of tyres, new brake pads, free delivery and some money off the listed price also, so i was a happy bunny!

Received delivery early May and due to work, holiday and weather, ive only managed to get out on it 3 times since owning! But WOW what a machine! I am in love with quickshifter and blipper! And the little pops from the standard can! I have also switched the gearbox to race shift and despite taking a few miles to get used to, i find it so much better than the road pattern!

From my previous bike (a 2000 Reg Aprilia RSV Mille), this is just worlds apart, so much lighter, easier to turn and an all round animal. Many happy miles ahead for me!

Your bike looks fantastic Dan, though I may be biased to the 15 MY Motorsports model [emoji6]
Good choice going for a model with the HP forged wheels, they?re well worth the extra.

Hope you have a great Summer and indeed many happy miles ahead of you come rain or shine [emoji4]

Hi everyone, long time since an update - ive mainly been enjoying the bike throughout the past year (in between getting married and now expecting our first child!)

Somehow, ive managed to persuade the better half that after all of that, the bike is to remain part of the family!

Therefore, to ensure my money is spent wisely and before i get drained by children and a non working wife for a year, ive invested some in the two wheeler!

First of all, tail tidy and some evotech crash bobbins - simple but somewhat required.

It then went to Lind BMW in Norwich for its annual service and check over. Whilst there, they fitted my new Akrapovic system - wow, what a noise!

I was then fortunate enough to persuade Alex to sell me his Rapid Bike Racing module, which was kindly hand delivered (appreciated that - thanks!)

The bike then went to see John at Track Electronics who fitted the unit and mapped the bike (again, thanks to Alex for his HM Racing pre-installed map, which saved John lots of time when setting up mine).

Very pleased with the results so far, not so much the figures, but how great the bike rides now that everything is setup properly!

Next step will be to get the suspension seen to by MCT, get some more road miles under my belt for this year, and try and dig deep in the piggy bank to get booked up on a couple of trackdays before the summer is out.

Very much loving S1000RR ownership at present :)
