On a bus from Waverley to Dalkeith to pick uo my bike. 3.5 weeks these xxxxs (lovely people) have had it...worst of the lot will be the hefty bill when I walk in to collect...oh wait this public transport is equally hellish or the train carriage from Dumbarton to Waverley... Al Pacino was spot on with his description in Glengarry Glenross...

I feel your pain. I took mine in to EK on the 17th and it doesn't look like I'm getting it back till the 3rd. I got a loaner bike though, so managed to avoid the dreaded public transport.

This is work done by a BMW main dealer Stuart? Suggest you get on to them with those pics asap and demand answers and compensation, unbelievable.

Wf is going on with that? Did they not do the sump plug up correctly?
I suspect rocker cover gasket.... they had problems.. doubt it's sump plug Soof... just spoke to them. They"re sending a van on Tuesday. Unbelievable....

I wondered how my left foot was slippy on the peg.. I put it down to getting some diesel on it from the petrol station I filled up after picking the bike up.. if only I had looked down....

Stu, if it was me, given new leathers and clearly expensive boots damaged and putting my life in danger, I'd be telling them to shove their ?620 as a minimum...

Tony was really apologetic on the phone...the gravity of the situation is just sinking in... I'm not happy Mac.

I'll need to think this over...clearly they never test rode it or double checked it after the initial rocker cover gasket problem when they done the valve clearances.. good old Michelins kept me safe despite being covered in Lube lol

Stuart, if you'd been killed they would have been facing rather more than an unhappy customer, suggest you ram home their responsibility to have safe procedures and the implications of what has and could have happened when discussing next steps with them.

Holy cow, thank god you're ok!

I think they should get your leathers and boots cleaned up as well as fixing the bike.
Very interested to see what the cause is!

That’s mental Stu, glad you got it home safely! I’d be straight onto BMW UK or whoever to show them the pics and see what they think. If you get nowhere get uploading them to social media to show everyone the level of service that can be expected, they’ll pay attention then!

It"s nuts... I'll wait till they uplift and inspect and then see where we are..thanfully those Daytonas have a removeable liner...my leathers are soaked and stinking of oil...I"'m heading out to a party and no doubt get drunk... cleaning will need to wait till tomorrow..
