Anyone got a 3D printer or well versed in their capabilities?

Simple question, are the end products strong enough to be worth making crash protection using that technique?

I assume not, (consumer systems) but I don?t know enough. Even replacement bar end lever guards would be a start...

Industrial 3D welded titanium maybe out of my budget!!

I certainly wouldn?t trust 3D printed crash protection but items like a lever guard could be easily produced and would work well. I know Shaun Muir Racing was experimenting with 3D printing but I think that was just limited to creating bespoke parts to check for any fitment issues before making them in carbon fibre.

If your on Twitter look up @Enigmatic Engineer he does lots of 3D printing
