Just back from a month at work and had a nice little package from Ilmberger waiting for me.

Fitted everything today and while the weave and general manufacture looks spot on, I was a bit disappointed with the fit in places for the money I paid. Had to enlarge 6 holes, plus one of the slots for the locating lugs on the light surround, and then the intake doesn?t sit just perfect at the front as you can see below.

Ill keep it on there, but will maybe look elsewhere for any other carbon bits I want.

You have probably tried, but when I fitted mine (Ilmberger to hp4) it didnt line up right at first, took a bit of fettling but then it was spot on.

Looks the biz regardless, great looking bike.

Thanks guys, yes took a bit of fettling to get it to that stage. Got fed up taking fairing off and on in the end! I’m maybe overly fussy as in a previous life I manufactured and repaired carbon fibre aircraft parts. I do wish I’d kept/stolen some of the tooling actually!

Would like to get a piece of black mesh up the intake as don’t fancy fishing a small bird or whatever out should one go down there.

And now now that I’ve started with the carbon, I’d like a hugger also. Surely it will line up ok!
