I just realised how much water lies in the belly pan after a good clean. Is it better to remove it while cleaning? Seems like a hassle if that's the case. I'm surprised BMW didn't think of a better draining solution.

cheers

Mate, there is a removable plug about half way down the underside of the belly pan to drain water. It's about the size of a 2p coin. You can feel it with your hand from the outside. The easiest way to get it out is to push it out from inside the pan.

All hail Dave the dumbass. That will do it. I feel stupid now. Cheers mate.

I can honestly say it took me a while before I found it when I got the bike, and you are not the first person to ask the question. :)

😂 I usually empty it by accelerating hard, last time my mate was following on his triumph and thought my engine just let go as on a completely dry road he suddenly got a shower 😂
But now I know how to empty it to, thanks guys 👍
