    Just thought I?d add to this incase it helps, bike is currently with BMW in Belfast. I had the same issues listed above, was told It was over powering the system as some sort of battery regulator was faulty.!! Hopefully covered under warranty.

    My local dealer got back to me, The grips on the latest model are not as warm as on previous/other models and will only reach top temp when most power can be drawn from the battery (so at idle when I tested them is when they will be at their coolest, in my case 34*C on the top setting). I...

    Heated grips

    I'll call the dealer tomorrow and ask the question regarding temp, but I'm guessing no one will be able to give me an answer, but hopefully they can contact the mothership and find out.!

    Heated grips

    Have to admit, not very impressed with the heated grips on the mk3 I've used an IR temp gauge and it showing that both grips are sitting at 34*C at idle at the top setting, should they be warmer than this or is this normal I've never had them on previous bikes so not sure what to expect.!!

    Just a few, approx 2800mls mostly cold and wet, the call of the beast in the garage was just too much.!!! Any hint of sunshine was a good enough excuse.😱 A few hours of riding followed by many hours of cleaning and polishing lol.

    I've been visiting this forum since I became an S1000RR(15) owner last Sept after convincing myself that it was more cost effective than putting a GSXR750 in for a service and a set of new boots.. Lol Anyway a big hello to everyone from Norn Iron.!!
