Hi, Welcome - I finally managed to find my ideal bike (s1000rr) late August - my advice is wait for the right bike, they are out there :o After spending what seemed like millennia I found mine a 2011 model (1800 miles) one owner, IMHO best bike I've ridden :biggrin-new:

Had mounted my TomTom to the handlebars on my GSXR, not brilliant and struggled to see the screen. Have seen a previous post on here and will be purchasing one of these for the BMW http://www.telferizer.com/

Unfortunately due to cover materials things like polish and dyes from leathers can become ingrained, there are several products on the market which lift 'stains' without bleaching. I tend to stick with AutoGlym products but test on unseen areas before treating the full seat, avoid using anything...

Being a new member I'm busy reading through old posts, but having just swapped a 2010 GSXR1000 to a 2011 s1000rr IMHO the BMW leaves the GSXR standing in the following areas - braking, even with Hel hoses the GSXR just didn't instil confidence. Handling, now admittedly this could be tyre related...

I've just insured with BMW motorcycle (via Asda insurance), cheapest at ?259 - I had been quoted upto ?450. Think if I add datatag or smart water it will come down even more.

I've been looking into purchasing the GS-911 as I have serviced my own bikes in the past, there are several different versions of these tools available and varying prices too (cheapest I've found is ?270). The restriction is how many bikes can be logged onto tool, unless you buy the professional...

Hi folks, I'm after some advice if possible. I'm looking to upgrade the exhaust on my 2011 s1000rr and before I splash my hard earned cash I was after some personal opinions - do I go with the decat option and if so what is entailed (is remapping required etc) or do I just go with a nice end...

I know exactly what you mean, swapped a GSXR1000 (2010 model) for my s1000rr (2011 model) and I couldn't believe the difference in the two bikes. I can't believe after riding the s1000rr how dated the Gixxer felt in its handling and power.

Hi Folks, having recently purchased (4 weeks ago) my dream bike I have got to admit the s1000rr (mine's an 2011 model) its exceeded all my expectations and I haven't stopped smiling since, and although I have been riding for more years than I care to remember this is my first BMW. Well enough...

I've just fitted a zero gravity (available from Calsport) corsair screen to my s1000rr 11 plate, and being 6'4 it has proven its weight in gold for spirited rides. The quality far exceeds other screens I have used in the past too.
