    Headlights

It's on page 31 of my owner's manual.

    Headlights

On my 2015 K46 a blown headlight bulb does not activate the bulb warning! This is confirmed in the handbook.

    Rear wheel removal

On my gen 3 I remove the axle nut and washer and then pull the wheel back slightly. This releases the adjuster plate and then the axle. Then roll the wheel forward to release the chain. No need to touch the adjuster bolts.

    Tail Tidy

Does the Gen 4 use a bulb or an LED for the OEM number plate light? It may be that a suitable resistor will clear the error code?

    2 1/2 year battery

Check that the terminals are tight. They have a habit of working loose.

    Holy Huggers Batman!

I have a Carbonin one on my Gen 3. No hole and also slightly longer than standard.

    Dainese D1 Axial boots fit?

The insoles are removable in Dainese boots. Why not go to a good shoe shop and get some thicker ones? You might have to cut them to size, but it's an easy fix.

    Dainese D1 Axial boots fit?

I have a pair of D1 in boots. There is an internal adjuster at the front of the booot that you tighten to stop your foot moving about.

Correction; there is no tensioner. This may be of interest: https://s1000rrforum.co.uk/showthread.php?11898-Oil-amp-Water-pump-chain

    Bike at Bahnstormer

I'm not that familiar with the inner workings of the engine, but I would have two questions for them. Firstly, what is the specified service limit for that chain (usually so many mm over so many links) and have they checked this? Secondly, does the chain have some form of tensioner and has...

    Bike at Bahnstormer

In your video you seem drawn to the water pump cover as the source of the noise. I suspect that the water pump impeller has lost some of its vanes and its them you hear. Even though the water pump stops with the engine, coolant will continue to circulate for a few seconds. Is the bike...

Stalling - Me or the bike?

I don t think that's significant. Do you know when the air filter was last changed?

    Ooops......!

Stalling - Me or the bike?

It does seem a tad high. In ambient air of 20*, I'd expect a reading of about 22*. Did your 27* coincide with any issues?

Monitor the intake air temperature and see what it's doing. If you can include riding in traffic with the fan on (100*+) it would be useful to see what it's doing.

Stalling - Me or the bike?

Does this happen in traffic or on open roads? It could be an issue with the intake air temperature sensor. You can monitor this on the clocks. It will normally be a few degrees above ambient air temperature. The sensor is prone to heat soak and can be relocated. Easy to check!

    Leaking forks

More than likely it's assembly grease, not oil. My gen 3 is still doing it at 5+ years and 14k miles!

I've done that! And yes, it's a good run. The Inagh valley is well worth a touch as well!
