After further inspection (Taking a Q-tip and swabbing the fill neck on the radiator fill neck) it doesn’t appear to be metal, it’s like some sort of film that coagulated in the neck and would break apart easily.
I just peeked in my coolant a saw some sparkles. Does anyone know what happens if the pump fails? Does it seize and cause bigger issues or does the problem stay limited to the pump? I Have a big trip planned I’m thinking I should change it quickly.
